An average employee may spend the precious minutes of their work-break spinning around in an office chair or staring at the walls of a beige cubicle. Others may wait by the microwave as it reheats those crusty leftovers from spaghetti night, or perhaps spend a few rousing minutes around the water cooler – all before dragging their feet back to their desk. Sounds like a case of The Mondays, am I right?
Enter: Bauman Breaks.
If you’ve followed us for any amount of time, you already know that here at Bauman Photographers, we take any excuse we can to hang out with our co-workers. We work hard AND we play hard – and somehow, we never miss the chance to make fools of ourselves in the process. And while we adore our Bauman Lunch escapades, sometimes we just need a faster pick-me-up to spruce up the average work-break!
So here it is, folks – the premier of our very first Bauman Break. The rules? Fifteen minutes. One idea. Lots of energy.
We decided early on that the Bauman Break pilot episode needed competition. It’s the height of wedding season right now, and not only are we photographing weddings up to our eyeballs, we are also attending them. We’ve got some single ladies in the office that are guests at weddings this summer, so naturally we figured that they need some practice catching the bouquet – because if a Bauman Photographer is going to be at a wedding as guest, they MUST represent properly. By doing whatever it takes to win…
Results? The fiercest, ugliest competition that you’ve ever seen. We take fun seriously, after all! In fact, after practicing the art of bouquet catching, our new Studio Manager, Kelsey, went to a wedding that weekend and CAUGHT THE BOUQUET.
What else would you expect from such a Bauman Bouquet Bootcamp? Victory! Solid evidence of a productive work break.
Don’t worry — no employees were harmed in the making of this blog post (but the bouquet was definitely demolished).
