Every year, I dedicate some time to get away from everything and head up to Yosemite. I grew up with Yosemite being a vital part of my family, as we would vacation every year there. I love taking a camera up there and shooting something other than weddings. And that is by no means to say that I don’t love shooting weddings – but the alternative type of photography is so much fun to explore. No people, just nature. It really sharpens my skills and allows me to explore creativity. In the winter, the park empties out as 90% of the tourists stop coming. If you catch it at the right time though (like right after a winter storm), there isn’t really a prettier place to be.
