It was SO great for the fabulous Bauman Photographers team to be back in NOLA for yet another amazing New Orleans destination wedding! Tara had been seeing our work ever since her friend’s wedding in the Dominican Republic in 2007 (thanks Cristi!), so we were honored when she wanted us to continue the Bauman love for her gorgeous wedding too!
If you’ve ever been to New Orleans, you know what it has to offer, which is (for a photographer) inspiration from EVERY angle and EVERY street corner – not to mention the amazing people, food, and well… everything!!!! So we took advantage of the amazing landscape of the city and scheduled plenty of portrait time with Tara around New Orleans. We love when our couples take advantage of their venues and locations so we can get some extra fabulous portraits of them!
Tara began the day at the lovely Windsor Court Hotel where she prepped for her portraits around the city before heading to her classically beautiful ceremony at The Academy of the Sacred Heart to marry the handsome Curro.
After these two lovebirds said, ‘I do’, they danced their way to a KILLER reception at The Race & Religious House complete with a traditional New Orleans front line band!!
And of course, it wouldn’t be the perfect New Orleans destination wedding if it didn’t include hand crafted food, dancing on the walls, special deliveries of Cafe Du Monde beignets and crazy dancing till 2am with the cops showing up 3 times…etc.
In short, Tara and Curro’s wedding was perfectly New Orleans, and perfectly awesome!
