Wow, what a smokey lunch! We spent this week at Motor City Deli in Mira Mar with Gabrielle Ramsey from A Joy Forever Events and what a recommendation it was! The minute you walk into this place you are hit in the face with the smoky aroma of braised meats like Tri-Tip Sandwiches, Rubens, Pastrami, Marinated & Smoked Chicken Breast. We were warmly greeted by the man behind the counter as he dished up several samples of all the different meats. It felt like a hole-in-the wall family owned restaurant, and we were surly treated like family. Jared, Zimmer, Gabrielle and Eder had the Tri Tip Sandwich with sauteed mushrooms that came with sides of coleslaw, potato salad, mashed potatoes and gravy. Bronson’s hot Pastrami was deli-sh and Josie went with the smoked Pulled Pork sandwich with provolone cheese. All were served on freshly made baguettes with some A-1 sauce on the side. I think most of us were in agreement that the best sandwich was the Pulled Pork that Josie got…note to self, that’s next on my list!
