When I was planning my wedding 2 years ago one of my favorite things to do was to look at other weddings and see all the interesting and unique ideas other brides used in order to gain some inspiration for my own wedding. Even now that I am married I still love looking at great wedding details and will be sharing some of my favorites every week. This first idea comes from the wedding of Sheri and Luke that was shot by Jared at The Crossings in Carlsbad (great location). They came up with a creative and beautiful way to display their place cards: hanging like leaves on a tree at their reception. The tree was hand made by Sheri’s dad and beautifully decorated by Sheri.
With brown and light green being the colors of their wedding, this tree fit in perfect with the whole overall feel of the event. The tree also served another purpose…which I really love…it became the guest book. After the place cards were taken off, it was redecorated with sentiments from their guests written on leaves all hand-made by Sheri and her family…what a great idea!
