Jared and I arrived on a rainy day at the Oakland airport and I couldn’t wait to start the weekend that I knew would be awesome. When Kristen pulled up in her white Mini Cooper, I thought, “well that just suits her perfectly”. So we are driving down the freeway on our way to Sonoma Valley in Kristen’s perfectly suited Mini Cooper when I hear “Peanut Butter Jelly Time” coming from her cell phone. That is when I really knew it was going to be a great weekend.
I knew through the booking process that we’d be friends with these two. Kristen and Matt have been a joy from the beginning! Our first night there, took us out to a great dinner at “the girl and the fig” in downtown Sonoma. Awesome food, great mojito’s, a wonderful ambience and great conversation made it quite memorable.
The wedding day was still a couple days away so we took advantage of the next day and did some portraits around Old Hill Ranch where we were staying. It was great to take advantage of the beautiful surroundings and get loosened up for the big day!
Can you believe what troopers they are? – we even took photos at night, after the ceremony!!!! This one makes me feel yummy. Obviously our San Diego weddings are great but it is nice to mix it up every once in awhile don’t you think?
