Wednesday mornings around the studio everyone has one thing on their mind: Where are we going for lunch? This week the answer was Burger Lounge. We decided to take a walk and enjoy the beautiful weather in Little Italy.
It’s great seeing all the redevelopment around us. The neighborhood seems to keep growing and we are getting new neighbors every week. The new neighbors should all watch out for Bronson though, he takes his walking space very seriously….
I am a Burger Lounge first timer and the first thing I noticed was that they have very simplified menu. A couple of different types of burgers, fries and union rings, and drinks. Not too difficult to make a decision, just step up, order and take a number.
I think we all ordered the same burger with a few minor modifications. I had mine with grilled onions and a side of half and half onion rings and french fries that I shared with the guys.
There was mixed feelings about this place and the quality of the food versus the price. A burger, a side of fries and a drink runs just over $12. For that price the guys thought that there were better specialty burgers at different restaurants. Using In&Out as a standard of excellence in burger making, this burger joint did not beat it in taste. However it beat it in the style category.
The designers for this eatery paid great attention to detail in their design, from the metal hanging lamp shades, to the stainless steal meal numbers, and the wood grain look to the wall tile. This place had so much style that Jacob could not hold back his swagger and commenced to poppin’ his collar.
After lunch it was back to taking care of business and we met in Yogurtland to make things a bit sweeter.
