Whenever Bronson and I travel for destination wedding photography, we end up hanging out with the couple and family for most of the weekend – rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, all day for the wedding, and then a little day after gathering 🙂 Suzanna and Jason had a San Diego wedding, but gave the opportunity to come along with the whole weekend! Its amazing how much I felt like a part of the family by the time I left on Sunday 🙂
This is one of the most caring and sweet couple’s I have met. There’s a great story behind a lot of the “pig” theme you’re seeing in the pictures. As the story goes, Suzanna had never planned on getting married. In fact, she would tell her family that “she would get married when pigs flew.” Well, you can imagine how that would come back to haunt her down the road on her wedding weekend . . . 🙂 Their families used it as the theme for the rehearsal dinner, and she even surprised Jason with a groom cake themed with flying pigs at the wedding!
There were so many personal touches at this wedding. They got married at the chapel at The Bishops School, at the same spot Jason’s parents were married. It was so much fun to work with Kate Capshaw for the first time, who coordinated the wedding. Some of the other great vendors include:
Florist: Dawn Stone, Embellishmint
DJ: Ron Jones, Allegro
Cake: Twiggs Bakery
Linens: Tavola
