It was love at first sight.
When Vicky and Nikki met, they were both about to give up on finding love. They’d searched high and low for their perfect fit, and had found nothing but one disheartening date after another. Still, they decided to give it one more chance. Vicky spotted Nikki on Match.com and just had to reach out to this gorgeous woman – especially because she was holding an alligator! She asked if Nikki would like to meet up for a drink sometime at a “favorite” bar, just keeping it casual — Vicky’d actually never been the place before! But when Nikki arrived, they both knew immediately it was meant to be.
When they got engaged in 2007, it was on a ski trip to the mountains of Colorado, where they live and fell in love. Since then, these two have built a life and a home together, raising their beautiful five-year-old daughter and waiting for the day they could legally get married.
That long-awaited wedding day started off with one of San Diego’s rare rainstorms, but the skies were a beautiful blue in time for their seaside ceremony at Tower23. The air was so fresh, and the beach was so calm as they walked down an aisle drawn in the sand covered in colorful flower petals. Looking glamorous as always, Vicky and Nikki made their beautiful vows among their closest friends and family.
After spending lots of time with these two together on the beach to capture their knock-out chemistry, we walked up to Tower23 for a reception of mouth-watering treats and sweets. It was so heartwarming to hear stories from every person there about how head-over-heels they were that the big day had finally come after seven years.
Congratulations, Vicky and Nikki! We’re so excited for you two, and can’t wait to see you again!
