Tradition met tropical flair at Christie and Tim’s wedding – and it was the best combo ever!
Linking the Catholic traditions of Christie’s family with the Filipino traditions handed down from Tim’s parents, they brought their respective family traditions together in a deeply meaningful, absolutely beautiful ceremony (in the same church where Christie had been baptized!).
Although they’re both from Southern California, Christie and Tim met years ago at school in St. Louis. When Tim moved to New York to launch his own company, things got REAL. They both passionately pursued their careers in different states, and all the while, their heartstrings were tugging at a greater pursuit – each other.
They both live in New York these days, but knew that it was Southern California where they’d want to return for their wedding day.
Their Lomas Santa Fe reception brought allllll the island vibes with its colorful details, eye-popping florals, and tropical prints (we felt like we were on vacation!). Their wedding was full of AMAZING moments – like their traditional Filipino Tinikling dance (with traditional dress, no less), and Tim’s surprise song for Christie!
(PS – aren’t the photos at the Solana Beach Train Station SO FUN? Christie and Tim were totally game for anything, and we love how these turned out!)
Christie and Tim – we are so excited for you! What a fantastic day it was, and what an awesome journey you two have in front of you! So glad to have been part of this day. 🙂 Best wishes!
