Tim describes his style as a cross between club and wedding DJ. “My favorite part of the job is bringing traditional songs and beatmixing – from AC/DC to Aretha Franklin. It makes my job fun to be able to translate peoples’ tastes into a party.” In order to figure out what type of “party” each couple wants Tim schedules various get-togethers with them to build a closer relationship. With almost a decade in the wedding industry, Tim Altbaum, Professional DJ provides more than simply music for your event, he is also an officiant. When asked how he got into officiating weddings, he mentioned a couple he was working with whose officiant did not show up on their wedding day. Tim stepped up to the task and added officiating to his list of qualifications shortly thereafter. “I try to know my clients so well that I feel I could actually perform their wedding.”
Tim’s care and commitment to his profession, as well as the couples he works with, is evident from the first time you meet him. “The best thing is when a bride and groom come up to me and say they are having fun. It’s not my wedding, it’s yours. It’s all about you – my demeanor needs to match that.”
