I don’t think I’ve made a public announcement about this, so I figured it was a good time to do so. I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to travel to New Zealand and Australia over the coming months. Lindsay and Bronson will be around to cover for me while I’m gone, and I’m sure things will run incredibly smoothly. I’ll be leaving in the coming weeks and return in early March – and man, am I excited! Along with wedding photography, I have a true passion for photographing landscapes and nature. As an Eagle Scout, I’ve backpacked up and down the United States, and feel a total peace and serenity out in God’s creation. I’m really excited about backpacking through NZ and OZ!
Perhaps my biggest idol in landscape photography these days is a young man by the name of Peter Lik (www.peterlik.com). Based in Australia, he doesn’t get as much coverage here as many other photographers. He is probably the most amazing photographer I have seen next to Ansel Adams! You should all check out his website and see his work – he is amazing! I have both his Australia and USA books, so if any of you want to see them, you can drop by the studio. Below is one of his pictures – hopefully I’ll be able to return with a few pictures like his!
