The morning or Amanda and Rick’s wedding began with gloomy skies. It didn’t really surprise me since it is the norm for a wedding in La Jolla during the late Spring months. Then something cool happened, as Amanda walked down the isle towards Rick, the sun came out right behind her. It was really cool timing. After that it was bright blue skies for the rest of the day.
Their wedding had a really relaxed feel to it. It almost felt like the family was on vacation. But how can you not feel that way when you are having lunch with a beach view at the La Jolla Shores Hotel. That is the cool thing about having a destination wedding in San Diego, if you are bringing your family from out of town they get to enjoy all of the beauty that the city has to offer.
Their wedding day was a particularly busy day on the beach, I think that there were a lot of families on vacation as well. It made it interesting to have them walk down the board walk. People always love seeing newly weds during their beach wedding photography portraits.
